Our storyFrom One Chair to Generations of Care
Coggin & Cole started back in 1985, when Dr. Celeste Coggin left her first dental associate position to found a practice based on patient-first philosophy. What was then just “Coggin Dental Group” initially consisted of Dr. Coggin, one hygienist, and one dental assistant (who was actually Dr. Coggin’s mother!)
One of the first all-female dental practices in Northwest Atlanta, CCDG grew quickly through community participation and outreach. The office was always interested in adopting new technologies and methods to improve patient experience; thus, CCDG was one of the first practices in Northwest ATL to adopt electronic records, digital radiology, and paperless charting.

Another pillar of the history of our practice is the CCDG commitment to pursuing continuing education. In addition to maintaining board-mandated office continuing education requirements, our dentists have held leadership positions in the Hinman Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the GDA, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy, amongst others.
Today, CCDG continues to honor the traditions of the past while looking toward the future of dentistry, just like we always have. Our team is grateful to have treated generations of families and hope to do so for 40+ more years.
